Goodbye School, Hello Hospital

These past few days have been crazy. Monday was the last day of the school semester. I took my math final and ended up with a B in the class. I wanted an A but kind of bombed the test before the final so I'm happy with the B. In my English 2 and Biology classes I got an A. So I did well in my last semester.

That same night my mom was walking Jeter and got bit by something. Her finger started to swell up like a balloon right away. It turned blue so we went to the ER and were there for 4 hours. She was having an allergic reaction but the doctor didn't seem to care because he just pulled out a "stinger" (Which I don't think it was a stinger, she clearly got bit). He was with us for 4 minutes and then let us go home. It felt like he wanted to tell my mom to get over it. But guess what? The next morning when she woke up her finger was still swollen, she couldn't bend it and there was a black blood looking blister on her finer. On Wednesday it was bigger and I haven't seen it today but the way its been grown I bet its bigger. I almost want to go back to the doctor and show him her finger and rub it in his face and say "Oh this looks like nothing?" Whatever bit her was venomous. I just hope it gets better soon because it looks so narly.

Since then I have started to look for a job. I have applied at Walmart for an office position and am looking on Craigslist for openings. Hopefully I'll be able to find something because the long I don't do anything the more comfortable I'll be with that and the harder it will be to get back into a grove. So fingers crossed.

I have been so school obsessed this week with it being finals week and having all my last test to get through my mind has been mush and felt like it wants to explode, but it hasn't, yet. These are the songs I have been listening to, to help me get through the week. Somebody That I Use to Know is one of my new favorite songs. I heard it on the radio driving this week and I had to go home and find out who sang it. I'm in love this the song. I also can not get Superbase out of my head, damn you Nicki Minaj for being so damn catchy! What have you been listening to this week?

Confessions: Hair Envy

I am having serious Christina Aguilera hair envy. I love watching the singing show The Voice and it seems like each Monday her hair gets better and better. I'm having hair envy because no matter how much hairspray I put on my hair my curls fall out, my hair goes flat, and it never wants to stay in place. Its like my hair has a mind of its own. I wish I had her hair...

Rainy Saturday

It finally rained today!!! We needed the rain so bad. We have been on a water restriction down here for a long time. You can tell by my pictures how dry its been because our flower bed is nothing but sand and the yard was starting to get patchy too. Plus I love rainy days. I often dream about moving to London or Washington state where it rains all the time. There's just something peaceful about the rain, don't you think? So today has been a catching up on whats recorded on my DVR day.

In best friend news...It's AJ's 26th birthday today. AJ has been my best friend since I was two years old, that's about 23 years of friendship. He is in the Navy and is currently serving in Japan. He's been in Japan for about two and a half years and I miss him very much. I've very proud of him for joining the Navy and doing something no one thought was in his future. He is the best friend anyone can ask for. He's loyal, funny, always there when you need him, and just an all around good person. So AJ, I hope you have enjoyed your 26th birthday and I lift a glass to you tonight with the hopes that we can celebrate both our birthday together next year just like old times. Stay safe and always remember to check the roof than the elevator!
